For Kosi Flood Recovery Programme, Government of Bihar set up a Technical Committee under chairmanship of Prof. Dr. A. S. Arya. ‘People in Centre’ Consulting and Hunnashala Foundation represent ODR Collaborative in this Technical Committee. The Technical Committee has developed and approved guidelines for bamboo based construction of houses for the owner driven reconstruction programme in Kosi region. Published by Bihar Aapada Punarwas Evam Punarnirman Society (BAPEPS), these technical guidelines will ensure multi-hazard safe construction of houses. These guidelines are available for download here. In addition, PiC, Hunnarshala and SEEDS (ODR Collaborative members) have also prepared manuals for construction based on these guidelines.
