‘People in Centre’ Consulting collaborated with UNNATI to support local communities reconstruct the schools that were destroyed in the ethnic violence in Kokrajhar, Assam in July 2012. PiC brought together local artisans with artisans from Kosi flood affected region to share their skills and knowledge of bamboo and rebuild new schools. In the process of construction, bamboo trusses and improved bamboo joinery were demonstrated and shared. Total six schools are constructed for both Bodo and Muslim communities.
