With the expansion of the city, new areas are included within the city limits and new marketplaces get developed. For avoiding the future issues of congestion, these marketplaces need to be developed and supported as livelihood generation spaces for the poor, keeping in mind the space requirements and necessary infrastructure. People in Centre prepared design proposals for few such marketplaces for SEWA on the empty plots allocated for open markets by AMC. The basic plan of Kharicut canal plot can be viewed here.
