People in Centre was invited to make presentation about their study of street vendors on Ahmedabad Janmarg (BRTS route) in conference on National Strategy Meet on Metro Rail Projects by Ghar Bachao, Ghar Banao Andolan in Mumbai. The presentation discussed the presence of street vendors on the existing streets and how implementation of BRTS has affected their livelihood prospects, as well as lack of any planning for such marketplaces on BRTS route and such other development projects.
