National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), Delhi, organised the training of trainers on Post Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA) in collaboration with NDMA and UNDP during April 24 to 29, 2022. The training aimed at strengthening pool of experts in the country to conduct PDNA as the PDNA process is mandated to access recovery fund in case of any disaster. The training based on the global training resources developed by the UN and the World Bank was contextualized for the Indian context. Vivek Rawal from PiC joined the resource team and led the sessions on ‘economic value of damage and loss’ and ‘recovery needs’. He also facilitated the group exercise for the housing sector.
